It's that crazy time of year again--- Black Friday. This day is considered the super sale day of the year, but from my years of retail I can tell you it truly isn't. Black Friday is a busy shopping day with pretty awesome sales, but what does it do for your health? For me, I get anxiety, stressed, and overwhelmed. I will not be doing store shopping this year because no savings is worth my peace of mind. For those of you going out and braving the crowds, I wish you luck and sanity.
If you are like me and cannot brave the crowds or just don't want to there are so many ways to save from home. We all want to give the perfect gift, but why should we break the bank?
This year, I am changing it up with what we will be doing for Christmas presents, because I don't want to break the bank, but also because there is no reason to spend monies we don't have.
I saw a post on Facebook about the 4 gifts for Christmas. It seemed like a great idea to me, because it made it less impersonal, but also covered things that should important during the holidays.
How does it work?
1. Something you need
2. Something you want
3. Something to wear
4. Something to read
All of these cover an area where you don't set a dollar limit necessarily, but you can create a lift of who needs what before you start shopping. I used to be one of those people that said, "Oh a gift idea will come when shopping". Not anymore. By being prepared before I go shopping and knowing what to get I can watch for sales from the comfort of my PJ's and my bed and shop online, order for in store pickup, or decide what stores I will need to go to.
How are you doing your shopping this year?
