Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Slumber Parties and Soccer Games

Happy Saturday, friends! That's right, the weekend is here again, and for the four of us at Wigglesworth Manor, that means family slumber parties in the living room and morning soccer games both days. Thankfully, not first thing in the morning soccer games, because our slumber parties are enough to leave me needing lots of coffee.

Last night everyone, except for me, fell asleep easily in the living room. My mind wouldn't shut off. When I finally did fall asleep, my dreams carried out whatever craziness they could to keep me from getting a good night's sleep. I woke up earlier than necessary, only to lay on the couch checking emails, updating spreadsheets, and checking out a few stories on Instagram. Before I knew it, an hour had passed and I felt a little hand rub my back.

R was awake now and we took advantage of the time for just the two of us.  I try to do this every day with both kiddos, although D is at the age where she likes to spend more time doing her own thing. I do it anyway because I want them each to know how important they are to me and to this world. How wonderful and amazing each one of them is. I also want them to know that I value them and their company and I'm hopeful that when they are older they will still want to spend time hanging out with me.

Anyhoo, we're going to be heading to the soccer field soon. I hope you all have a great day! Let me know what you're up to today by leaving a comment below or catching me on our MBP Facebook page!
