This is Us

I am such a huge fan of the show, but I love it more when the story line intertwines with my life.  I am catching up on the end of last season where Tessa is struggling with who she is.  E and I had a conversation the other night about who he is now that he is an adult.  He is struggling with where he feels he needs to be at this stage in his life and where he is.   It's like the pinnacle moment when you realize that you are an adult and you need to act the part.  He feels it's supposed to happen overnight and he's nervous because it hasn't.

In the last episode of season 3 Kevin gives Tessa advice that you learn who you are every day like a puzzle piece.  It's not one single moment that defines who you will be but every piece of the puzzle that will.  It is the same advice I gave to E except that I hadn't watched this episode yet.   How did I know the advice?
I think we all struggle with finding ourselves and determining who we are to be.  It isn't something decided one day it is a compilation of our life every day.  We collect pieces of ourselves from what we see, learn, and grow to love.  If you or someone you know is struggling with finding yourself, just remember that your story grows every day.  Your place is learning to take the good and the bad and grow from it.  You will not be the person you are today again.  You will be a better and stronger version of yourself tomorrow.

What advice would you give?
