Happy Saturday, friends! We started our weekend adventures last night, with dinner out and a mini-golf adventure. Since we usually hang home on Friday nights (so that Matt can unwind from the work week comfortably), it was a nice change of pace and a fun little surprise for the girls. Today we are continuing our weekend adventures by heading down to Danbury!
Today's visit is going to be a little tricky. It's the second day of the Italian Festival hosted by the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge of Danbury and we'll definitely be heading there, but we also have to visit our beloved "Spaghetti Grandma". This is where the tricky part comes in.... Gram cannot help herself, she always wants to feed us, but we can't eat too much because the Italian Festival starts at 3pm. Do you know how offensive a 91 year old Italian lady finds people not eating her food?
Hopefully, we can convince her to come along to the festival with us. Not only to avoid the guilt, but it'll be nice for her to get out of the house and not have to cook. Plus, I'm pretty sure it's been longer than 5 years since the last time she went to this particular festival, and I know that she had a great time running into family and friends. Okay, new goal....get Gram (back) to the Italian Festival.
