Memories of Dad

Father's Day was yesterday and that got me thinking about all the fun times with my dad growing up. When someone asks me about my favorite memory, I'm not sure I can choose just one. How can you choose only one event or instance from over a decade?

I think most of my favorite memories come from being at our lake house:

-swimming

-pancakes for breakfast

-Pop Tarts, chips, and soda whenever

-hot dogs and mac and cheese for lunch

-sailing

-walking into town

-fireworks by the lake on July 4th

There are so many other cool things about the lake house that I loved. No air conditioning and no TV were great because it forced me to be active and spend time enjoying the lake.

I find my favorite memories have to do with experiences so I hope to give my own kids experiences to remember.
