15 Things to Embrace About the "Terrific Twos"

On the eve of my oldest's second birthday, I've vowed this upcoming year to be the year of the "Terrific Twos", not the "Terrible Twos"!  I will embrace the messiness, the chaos and even the tantrums. I know what you're thinking, I haven't been there yet, but positivity breeds positivity, so we're going to roll with it!

I choose to embrace all of the highs and lows of the "terrific twos".

Here's a few things to embrace about the "terrific twos":

You get to join in on ALL the fun!

You have two extra hands that are willing to "help you" with anything and everything! Even the things you don't want help with!

Mommy & Daddy are the best words you will hear! (Momma is sweet, but the past week has been all about  Mommy and there is just something about the sweet sound of "Mommy" that makes my heart smile a little bigger!)

Play dates allow for mommy dates too!

Hugs & Sloppy Kisses for all! (They won't always want to do that...)

Dance parties are 100% acceptable!

"Baby Shark doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo..." need I say more?

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Ice cream treats for all!

Weekly Chick-fil-a dates - did you know the calories don't count?

Paw Patrol and PJ Masks are a household name. {Ya'll, Charleigh and I have our own little dances to the opening songs for both shows...if I have to watch this on repeat, I might as well own it!}

You have an excuse to re-watch your fave childhood movies.

Mac & Cheese for all! {I don't know about you, but I can always go for the good ole' Kraft classic!}

Did you know part of your job description as a mom would be interpreter? More and more words are coming together, but who knew you could become a pro at deciphering the babble.

Potty breaks give you a chance to go potty too! (Hey, you know you won't go to the bathroom alone for the next few years, might as well embrace it!)

Nap times give you life and a recharge!

Monkey see, Monkey do! Don't you know Mommy loves you!

Momma's, I encourage you to embrace it all, even the tough days,
for the days are long, but the years are short!
 I am grateful that I have the opportunity to go through this stage, as it is a reminder of just how fortunate I am to be a mom!
