4 Ways To Slow The Aging Process

Whether we like to admit it or not, most of us don’t enjoy the aging process. We develop aches and pains, we’re not as fast as we used to be (both physically and mentally), and our bodies and even skin change too. The idea of getting older doesn’t appeal in most cases, and although there is nothing we can do to stop the process entirely, there are some things we can do – completely natural things – that can slow it down somewhat. Here are some of them to think about.

Reduce Sugar Levels
There is sugar everywhere. If you look at food labels closely, you’ll see it’s even in foods that we might not normally associate with this particular ingredient. If you want to slow the ageing process naturally, it’s time to reduce the amount of sugar in your diet. Too much sugar combines with the collagen in your skin (which is what keeps it elastic and less lined and wrinkled) and dehydrates it in a process known as glycation. Your skill will look dull and less vibrant, and wrinkles will more easily appear. The less sugar you consume, the less this will happen.

One way to begin the reduction of sugar in your diet is to go gluten free. By eating less bread, which contains as much as two tablespoons of pure sugar, you can easily reduce how much sugar you are consuming on a daily basis, and you will hardly miss it.

Try Hormone Therapy
For many years, doctors and scientists have been perfecting hormone therapy to help women through the menopause and beyond. Using natural hormone therapy from David Ghozland you can replace the hormones that are starting to be lost, without which the signs of aging become all too clear.

When going through the menopause, women will experience hot flashes, discomfort, vaginal dryness, and many other unpleasant symptoms. These signs of ageing are, however, avoidable with the right natural hormone treatments, which is why this idea is so popular.

Eat More Protein
Protein can reduce the insulin levels in your body, and this is essential if you want to keep your blood sugar regulated and control your weight more easily. When your blood sugar levels are balanced, your body produces less cortisol, which is known as the stress hormone. Less stress means better sleep and a healthier looking you. Cortisol also has a detrimental effect on the collagen in your body which, as we have seen, helps to keep you looking more youthful for longer.

Sleep More

When you don’t sleep well you feel terrible; you feel sluggish and unwell, and you can’t concentrate on the day’s tasks. Your production levels plummet. Yet there is more to lack of sleep than this; when you don’t get enough sleep, your body can’t repair itself fully, and this leads to problems with aches and pains and general sickness. Plus your hormones will be out of balance again, all of which combines to make you not only look but feel older too. Just one hour of missing sleep can produce 10 times the normal amount of cortisol in your body.
