Happy Saturday, friends! How was your first week of the new year? Our week was pretty tame and only really involved going back to school (the girls) and work (the parents). After a long break, that wasn't quite long enough, I really appreciated the quiet "welcome back".  Now that the weekend is here, it's time to bring some excitement to our new year.  

Later on, the girls will be heading to their Grandparents (surprise for them, they have no idea), which means Matt and I will get to have our first "date night" of the year. Since one of our goals for the year is to save much more money than we did last year, it's likely going to be a quiet date night at home. Maybe we'll actually check out that Bird Box movie it seems EVERYONE is talking about. 

While I'm waiting for the fun to commence, I'll be working on laundry, waiting for my book to arrive (another goal for the new year is to read books for myself, not just books to the girls), and staying nice and caffeinated.
