Year by year, I am always amazed by the ways our family's needs change. My husband and I seem to keep adding more and more professional work and gigs to our calendars, and the kids aren't slowing down in terms of growth. When I was growing up, I used a computer for things like school reports by the time I was in Junior High. I'm now realizing that it won't be long before my (now) 2nd grader will need a laptop of his own for homework, schoolwork, and projects. It seems as though everyone in the family needs an honest to goodness good laptop that does it all... but how do you know which one to choose?
Lenovo love: The Yoga 730 13" 2-in-1 is perfect to use anytime, anywhere!
I know better than anyone that choosing a laptop is no easy feat. I'm on my third laptop, and while I love it very much, I know it's time for an upgrade. Hubby loves his Lenovo Think Pad, but needs something just a tad faster and with more space. We've been talking about buying a new shared laptop for the family for a while now... one that can handle homework, blogging projects, playing music and other forms of media for my husband's classes, and much more.
A couple of years ago, the hubs and I were gifted Lenovos by my parents for Christmas. They have been amazing for us to travel with, and easy for us to take back and forth between home and work, as well. When we started talking about purchasing a new laptop, Lenovo was at the top of my list!

We keep reading about Lenovo, keep seeing it recommended, and are so thrilled for the opportunity to give the new Lenovo Yoga 730 (13") 2-in-1 a try! We needed something faster, lighter, sleeker, and super with performance, too. When I took the 2-in-1 out of the box and packaging, I was amazed at how light it was. This thing makes my current laptop feel like a truck. The YOGA 2-in-1 is just about feather light. I can easily pick it up with one hand, which is a big deal for me, as I have a bad wrist and joint problems.

I love the design and color. It's so nice to have a break from black as far as a laptop goes. The screen/lid isn't heavy at all and lifts right up with ease. The overall 2-in-1 is pretty flat, which means it takes up very little space. Another huge win for parents everywhere!

Amazing resolution!
One of my biggest nitpicks about laptops is that the screens need to really wow me. The resolution needs to be fabulous, and kids, this screen is wowza! It looks so sharp, I could use it as my makeup mirror! Joking aside, the screen is fantastic, and the colors really pop off the screen, making this perfect for the things I love to use a laptop for most, like creating graphics, web design, writing and editing, and if I'm honest, binge-watching Fuller House on Netflix.

It'll take a little time for me to get used the way the keys are spaced, but it's very similar to my Lenovo Think Pad in that regard. The track pad is larger than I am used to, but I actually really love it. It's so easy to use, and I can change the sensitivity if I feel the need to. The YOGA 730 is slim, and you might even think it small, if you're used to a laptop with a larger screen (like I am), but I am really liking the way this laptop feels when I need to take it to work, or even to just pick it up to move it from one spot to the next. It's slim, but powerful, and fast!

It's going to take some time for us to fully experience the YOGA 730 2-IN-1, but what we've experienced so far has been fantastic! Hubby can enter grades in a snap, and access Blackboard to upload assignments for his students with ease. I am loving how amazing MBP displays, along with the images I make for social media. The kids are having fun watching movies, and checking out the tablet side of this amazing laptop! We're pretty head over heels!
