I love getting my kiddos all dressed up for the holidays. From having their photos taken for holiday cards, family gatherings, special dinners, and lots of church services, the kids are no strangers to getting gussied up. They clean up pretty nicely, and my sweet Bean is my little doll baby who is always up for a fashion show. While they don't seem to mind dressing up a bit, however, the kids make a pretty big fuss if they're at all uncomfortable in what they're wearing. Who can blame them, right?
Their momma comes from the 'beauty is pain' mentality, but I get it- no one likes to be uncomfortable, and I can't expect my kids to wear holiday clothing all day unless it stretches
a bit and the kids enjoy wearing what they have on.
We recently got to try a few pieces from Shinesty, and I have to say, I was sort of skeptical as to whether or not their holiday apparel would be appropriate for my family, but we really love the pieces we chose!

Little Bean absolutely loves this dress! It's all kinds of cute, and she has enjoyed wearing it this holiday season! We decided that the skirt is a little too short, so we did pair this with leggings, and it was totally fabulous. We love the plaid and the comfy and stretchy material in the dress. The shirt also flairs and twirls.
How perfect is this red and green plaid toddler Christmas dress? The two staple colors of Christmas and the warm holiday feel of plaid. The best part is it's also a matching mommy-and-me Christmas outfit. Now, how cute is that? And if you're still feeling it months later you can totally pull it off as an all year round plaid toddler dress.

Lincoln Log Little Man Plaid Suit ($74.99)
At first glance, I thought these were pajamas, but lo, and behold- it's a darn plaid suit! This is so much fun! I knew it would be a huge stretch to get B to wear this suit, and unfortunately, we weren't able to receive the blazer, but we did get to see a sample of the dress pants, and they are fab! I ordered a size 12 pant for B, and they were unfortunately too small in the waist. These are a pretty slim fit, so it you have a husky boy, order up, and you may have to have the pants hemmed at the bottom.

Toddler's Christmas suit will immediately give your young one the maturity level of a recently retired mortgage broker. Yeah, it'll look adorable, but just wait until they start giving you investment advice. As the parent, you better make sure you've maxed out your 529 Plan or you'll be hearing about it. That's the power of this red & green holiday suit.

Mariah Plaid Dress ($34.99)
I could get super match-matchy with the kids, but found an incredibly cute green and blue plaid dress for women. It's pretty thin material, but I always wear a slip dress, so no big deal there. I love the mix of blue and green in this dress. It's got plenty of holiday cheer! The skirt is short, but this looks amazing with tall boots! Just to up the cool factor on this- the dress is reversible, It has a low scoop on one side, which can be worn in front if you're daring and flirty, or worn in back if you're a bit more reserved (like me).
By some freak design accident, they actually made a piece of clothing that isn’t completely visually offensive. Introducing the green and blue plaid long sleeve Christmas dress. It's one of our holiday party dresses that can also be worn year round without getting stared at like you left your lights hung on the porch all year long. From a form-fitting top to a bottom that's more twisted than you will be after gam gam spikes the eggnog, this blue and green plaid Christmas sweater dress is a green light for looking suave this holiday season.
