Bells will soon be ringing as families everywhere gather in to celebrate the reason for the season. I try to hold fast to the true reason for Christmas celebrations as much as possible. All throughout our home, we place decorations and photos, capturing the beauty of the season, and special memories from past holidays. We have a lot of special traditions, like gathering around the Christmas tree early on Christmas morning to read the Christmas story as a family before we open gifts. Another tradition is to introduce our kids to nostalgic or classic gifts, rather than just give them newfangled trending presents.

One of my favorite places to shop for classic gifts is Cracker Barrel! Remember this sweet gal? It's none other than Raggedy Ann! My mom still has fond memories of her original Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. They were special to her when she was growing up, and I remember her telling my sister and I that we had to be extra careful with her dolls when we asked to play with them as young girls.

This doll is so beautifully made! I can't wait to see my daughter's sweet face when we present her with this doll! It's a third generation of women in my family with Raggedy Ann dolls- what a special gift. I hope she will cherish this doll, always, and pass it down to future generations.

I love connecting my kids with some of the games and toys I loved to play with when I was little.
