With the weather getting cooler and the calendar inching ever so close to Christmas, we've got the perfect way for you to spend your Saturday! Today is Neighborhood Toy Store Day, a day where consumers can support their local toy stores, and kick off the holiday shopping season!

We don't have a dedicated local toy shop in my small city, but we do have local retailers who do cater to young kiddos, so we'll be popping into a few of our favorite downtown shops and boutiques to see what's new, or check out some awesome holiday gift ideas for friends and family!

It's crazy easy to 1-2-click and buy toys online, but there's just something magical about visiting a local neighborhood toy store to touch and feel toys and books, and create lasting memories with your family! Plus- you're boosting the economy by supporting local businesses, not to mention supporting the store owner!
