Betrayed by Mother Nature, AGAIN!

This is what it looked like outside of my home at approximately 7:30 last night. It's even more disgusting this morning. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the snow, to an extent. However, it's much easier to enjoy when it arrives in December, or at the very least, AFTER Thanksgiving.

Yesterday, Mother Nature decided that she was going to go ahead and bring some of this cold and wet mess during the early evening. Matt took what felt like forever to get home, one of my sisters got stuck in snow after being directed off the highway, and a family friend's normal 30-45 minute commute turned into a 6-hour commute.

I don't know if you've seen it, but there is a jovial post going around social media that says something like "Snow in November happens when people decorate for the holidays too early". Obviously, I know this isn't the case, but as I was laying wide awake at 6am on a day off (because my body is now apparently trained to get up at that time, even without the alarm) I secretly cursed at those premature decorators, just in case they actually do deserve it. 😂

I'm off to enjoy another cup of coffee. I hope you have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!
