Happy Saturday, friends! We're gearing up for a four day weekend full of soccer games, a loved one's birthday, and a trip to NYC. Our weekends have been a little starved for adventure lately, so I am really looking forward to this nice, 4-day long weekend!
This weekend is the second to last weekend of the soccer season and I am so glad. R still loves playing and of course, we love watching her, but it'll be nice to not have to worry about missing anything that might come up on a weekend. For now, all I keep thinking to myself is "4 more games".
After tomorrow's game, we'll be heading out to celebrate Matt's birthday with his parents. He's one year closer to 40 and even though I'll be celebrating my own birthday soon enough, I'll have to tease him a little bit because, even if it's only by 20 days, he is still older than I am.
We have 2 bonus weekend days, with Monday and Tuesday being no school days, so we'll be taking advantage and heading to NYC to visit Ripley's Believe It or Not!
They currently have, on display, the original lightsaber used by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back!

Since both Matt and D absolutely love the Star Wars franchise, we jumped on the chance to visit. In case you're wondering, the lightsaber will be at Ripley's through November 1st, so if you are anywhere nearby and want to check it out yourselves, make sure to visit soon.
