Hi, everyone! My name is Babs and I am the mother of two wonderfully kind and energetic children, Julian (12) and Gabrielle (10). These two keep me on my feet and never cease to amaze me. I have lived in Kannapolis, NC for most of my life and I am blessed to say that I am in a two-year relationship with the most incredible man that I have ever met, Derek. I am currently in my senior year of college where I am working on my Bachelor of Arts in English for Secondary Education. My goal is to achieve my doctorate and become a professor within the next eight years. Until then, I am substituting throughout my local counties as I work on my degree and I cannot wait to have a classroom of my own. I am quite the fan of poetry and anything written by, or about, William Shakespeare or Edgar Allan Poe.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I love God, my family, and my friends; I could not imagine life without them and the joy and comfort that they bring to me every day. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, baking, learning facts about anything and everything and then being able to share that knowledge with others. I also thoroughly enjoy listening to and dancing to all types of music, attending family gatherings, and hosting events. I do love to write so I am excited to be a part of the Mommy’s Block Party family and I cannot wait to get started.
