Happy Saturday, friends! We are celebrating the last weekend of the school year and, of course, gearing up to head into the kitchen to make a few tasty treats as we prepare to celebrate Father's Day tomorrow. The girls have been looking forward to this all week long, but there is a "kink" in the plans, and something that usually makes us super happy has us feeling a little frustrated.
Daddy's Home!
It's the weekend and that means Matt is home. Normally, this pleases us to no end, but since we'll be busy working on treats to surprise him tomorrow, his being home makes the surprise factor pretty non-existent. We could send him out, but nowhere that would keep him away long enough. I thought about commandeering someone else's kitchen, but I much prefer baking in my own, especially with the girls being involved. A big part of today will be figuring out a workaround so that we can spend time together, but still get some treats made without him realizing.
Heading to the Movies?
After the treat situation is handled, I'm hoping to head to the movies! We're all excited to see Disney Pixar's Incredibles 2 (check out the trailer and poster HERE) and find out just what power(s) Jack-Jack has. I'm also pretty happy to see our favorite super-suit slinging designer, Edna Mode, is back. She's one of my favorites from the original!
