Sometimes I estimate terribly how much meat our family will eat, especially if I made it in the crock pot. I cooked chicken and shredded it for tacos, but had a ton left over. I had bought some crescent rolls on sale and had the cheese, ranch seasoning, and cream cheese on hand already. Ta-da! Dinner.
I simply shredded and chopped the chicken and added the ranch seasoning. Don't be shy; the chicken is pretty bland by itself.
Then you simply add however much cheese and cream cheese you'd like. The cream cheese is just to make them a little creamier.
Dollop maybe two tablespoons onto each crescent roll and roll up.
Place on the ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 17 minutes.
For the side, I simply microwaved a steamable vegetable.
Fast, easy, and very affordable dinner.
I've been stuck in a rut with dinners lately. Please share some quick and easy recipes you have. I'm always looking for something new.
I am a huge fan of crescent roll dinners! Can't wait to try this recipe!
ReplyDeleteI love using crescent rolls for dinner, you can put just about anything you want in them! I have also done turkey/cheese, beef hot dogs stuffed with cheese, and philly cheesesteak before. :) Thanks for sharing this recipe!
