The Humidifier of Your Dreams + Giveaway

Growing up, I remember that my Mom had one brown humidifier that lasted my entire childhood. It survived the colds of five children and for all I know, she may still have it. It was bulletproof. Finding a good humidifier for my family has somehow been my achilles heel. I have gone through about 6 humidifiers in the past 4 years and I have a humidifier graveyard in my garage. The picture below is the last two failures. Actually, no, I bought three orange ones off of Amazon and they worked for about 2 weeks and totally stopped working. So I mailed them back for a refund. Those were my last failure.

So why am I having so much trouble you ask? Oh, everything from the mechanics of the thing just breaking to them being endless mold generators (after only a few days). What's the point of a humidifier if you are vaporizing mold spores the whole time!!? Disgusting. Oh! And the filters. I am so sick of buying filters for these things. They are expensive and they get nasty after the first time you need to use them.

So, on my journey to find the ultimate humidifier... or frankly, just one that works, I came across the Ultrasonic Humidifier by Everlasting Comfort. I contacted the EC team and they were very happy to send me two samples to try out with my family! I was so excited!

Ok, so I know we are in the "humid" season (aka the rainforest, aka the sauna) down here in the South... so you might not be thinking HUMIDIFIERS right now. But trust me, you'll want to remember this for the fall and winter coming up.

I'm going to just highlight a few of the things that make this humidifier awesome:

1. ESSENTIAL OIL DIFFUSER. It has an essential oil diffuser function built in. Oh yeah, now they are speaking my language! When the kids are sick and you need to get a good night sleep, who doesn't pull out the Lavender? I mean - it's essential (see what I did there? wink*)

2. 360° AIR FLOW. This just means you can point the vapors at the sickie. A nice feature so you don't have to move the entire thing.

3. CARRYING HANDLE. For when you have to fill the tank under the faucet in the tub and you don't want to risk the whole thing slipping out of your hands because you underestimated the weight of a tank full of water.

4. ULTRASONIC MIST. Ok, let me translate this for you... Ultrasonic means NO FILTERS. Hallelujah! I am telling you - you aren't living unless you have a humidifier that doesn't require a filter. This is my favorite part. And the mist output is excellent! Look at the picture below: it is putting out some serious mist.

Some other great features are that it has a blue LED light and a water level window and it looks like Darth Vader (black) or a Storm Trooper (white). And you don't have to clean it constantly. When you do clean it, you just wipe it out with a cloth. I've found my humidifier soulmate (happy tears).
