Happy Saturday! March has certainly come in "roaring like a lion" here in Connecticut. Yesterday, just 2 days in, the rain was falling, the winds were whipping, and all the schools were closed. Well, many of the schools were closed, I don't know about all of them. The girls' school was closed though, which started my Friday (and weekend) off on a happy note!
Since this is the first weekend of March, I am feeling an itch to just do something amazing. We have this weekend and next weekend to kind of "let loose", since the invention convention was this past Thursday (all was a success) and the dress rehearsal and actual performances for the school play are not until St. Patrick's Day weekend and the weekend after. It's nice to have this little break because once things get rolling, around St. Patrick's Day, we'll be attending, commemorating, or celebrating something nearly every week right through April!
To quote one of my favorite movies- "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it"- Ferris Bueller's Day Off |
So, what will we do this weekend?
Since the forecast is calling for clouds and temps in the 40s, I'm thinking some fun indoor activities. Maybe we'll start the day by going out to breakfast and then heading to the movies to FINALLY see Black Panther! Afterward, we'll let the girls pick between bowling and a room escape adventure. Once we're finished with the activity they chose, we'll head to the other one.
I do have to tend to some boring "adult" stuff, like grocery shopping and returning books to the library, so I'm going to get a move on. I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
