Happy Saturday and St. Patrick's Day, friends! I'm really looking forward to this weekend, even though it's the one that starts off our crazy next few weeks. This will be our introductory busy weekend, with more busy-ness added on as the days progress, straight on through much of April!

To start off this weekend, in addition to today being St. Patrick's Day, it's also the birthday party of one of R's most favorite people in the universe, her friend "B". I was feeling a little anxious because, as usual, I had waited until the last minute to prepare. R needs a swimsuit and I could not find the one she used last year. Thankfully, some stores have a few in stock, so I was able to order online and pick up today. Of course, once the swimsuit was taken care of, it dawns on me that we haven't picked up a birthday gift. Fun times! 

After celebrating "B's" birthday, we'll be heading home and celebrating St. Patrick's Day. We had to hold off on using our DIY Shamrock Punch-Board this morning, much to the girls' disappointment. I was actually looking forward to it as well, so I can hardly wait to watch the girls test it out. I'll try to grab some pictures to share with you on our Facebook Page later today. Once the punch-board is done, I'll be heading to the kitchen to make our traditional SPD dinner, Irish Stew, and of course, I'll be making some soda bread to go along with it.

Since the school play is next weekend, D and her schoolmates/castmates have been working really hard, squeezing in as much rehearsal time as they can. Yesterday they stayed after school to make up for some rehearsals canceled by snow days and tomorrow D and the cast will be heading to school (ON A SUNDAY!) to have a full-day rehearsal. The dedication these kids have shown is phenomenal and I really have to give kudos to the teachers and staff members that are also working so hard with these students.
