5 Reasons to Buy a New Car This Spring

Spring is in the air, and it's time to roll down the car windows and go for a long, sunny drive. It sounds so dreamy until you get into your old car, take a whiff of the stale scent, and get a glance of peeling top coat. You shake your head and get ready to drive your car to a local service station for a little spring tune-up. But why keep driving your old clunker when there are newer, safer, more reliable options out there?

Buying a car is a big deal, and a large purchase, so it's nothing to take lightly. However, driving around an old car that's constantly breaking down, costing you time and money isn't doing you any favors. Here are five reasons to consider buying a new car this spring...

You're Tired of Making Repairs

Does it seem like there's something wrong with your car every few months, or worse- every few weeks? It's awesome to have a reliable mechanic who knows you by name, but if you're visiting their shop all too frequently, it really is time to think about trading up. If it seems like you're throwing your hard-earned money away, do a bit of research and seek out the cars that have the best track record for longevity. Once you've purchased a newer vehicle and are merely having to keep up with annual maintenance, you'll breathe a sigh of relief!

Sleek New Styles

If you're driving an older car, you probably can't help but notice all of those lovely new models out on the road and be a tiny bit jealous. New or newer models are very sleek and stylish. Even if they're five years old, they're probably a lot nicer looking than anything out there that's ten years old or older. You, too, can be sitting pretty in a newer model. Just remember- there are lots of important features to consider when you're buying a new car. Don't buy a new car based solely on looks.

Savvy Tech

You know how you love being able to syc all of your devices? Well, newer cars have some pretty amazing and note-worthy technology on board. With newer features like back-up assist, self-parking modes, lane correction and blind spot notification, your chances of getting into an accident are lower in a newer vehicle. Not only will newer vehicles have the latest tech, they'll also have the best safety features for keeping you and your family safe at all times.

Tax Breaks

It's just about tax time, and if you're looking to find some interesting tax breaks, you might just hit the jackpot if you're planning on buying a new car. There are lots of unique tax breaks available depending on what type of car you purchase, so be sure to check those out before you buy.

Your Family is Expanding

If you're becoming a parent for the first time or your family is growing by leaps and bounds, you're probably already thinking about a new car. Keeping your precious cargo safe will become your number one priority. Making sure you have the room you need is just as important. Baby gear takes up a ton of room, so a compact car might not suit your needs anymore. Have older kids? Carting around sports gear or musical instruments often requires that same amount of room you needed when they were babies and you toted around their strollers. If you feel cramped in your vehicle, it's time to think about looking for something with more space, which will increase everyone's comfort level.

A bonus reason to buy a new car would be if you've never owned a new car before. If you've always driven an ancient clunker, or you're still hanging onto your beloved high school car, it's probably time to think about retiring that old beauty and finding something that fits both your personality and budget.
