Expressing Gratitude- Motivational Monday

Last week I received this card from my Gram. She wrote a beautiful note inside for the girls, Matt, and me. We absolutely love spending time with Gram, or Spaghetti Grandma, as the girls call her. She's mentioned how much it means to her that we visit and it means just as much to us that we get to. So, as much as I appreciated the sentiment, I felt like a thank you card was not really necessary.

I was wrong!

Now, I don't mean to say that we deserved a thank you card, because we didn't. What I mean is that sometimes a thank you is more about the person giving the thanks than the person receiving it. Sometimes gratitude needs to be expressed to truly be felt.

There is a quote from William Arthur Ward:
"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it".
I'd like to add that, in most cases, expressing gratitude is as much as gift to the sender as it is to the recipient.

Today, treat yourself to a little gratitude. Find something you are grateful for and express your gratefulness! A text, a note, a phone call, a hug, a smile, a nod; no form of appreciation is wrong or too small!

Also, just so you know, I am grateful for all of you who took the time to read this post today! I hope that you have an amazing Monday!
