Christmas is one of the most magical times of the year. It is the season of giving and the season of loving everyone around you- even those you don't know. From the time we are small we learn that the season is for giving and as we age we look forward to the joy we give someone else.
With Santa coming to town as kids we wanted all the new toys, clothes, and other things that were popular during that time. Our kids now want the same thing, but of course it is a different time and those things are more electronics than things you use to build imagination such as action hero figures, dolls, or even a chemistry set.
What I want for Christmas
I don't want for anything this Christmas that I haven't wanted my whole adult life- That is the peace that Christmas should bring to everyone. I want to remember what Christmas was when I was a kid- a time for family coming together to laugh and eat good food. I want families to come together to reminisce about anecdotes and just remember to be thankful for all the people you have in your life. The presents you get will not make or break a Christmas, but the lost moments you don't use will. Take the time to speak to your parents, your distant aunts and uncles, and most importantly your kids because these moments go by so quickly that if you blink you will miss it.
What do you want for Christmas?
