Snacks That Will Keep The Kids AND You Happy Over Christmas Break!

Thank you to 5wpr and these fine brands for providing me with product for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed below are my own!

For a couple of weeks now, I'm not going to have to pack two little lunch boxes each night and be sure my little guys are getting healthy snacks and protein packed foods at school! Why? Because it's Christmas BREAK! I know it's tempting to let things get a little crazy and end up with a free for all at meal time, but instead of getting too far outside of the usual routine, check out some of these health conscious snacks and drinks while you're at home the next couple of weeks with your rugrats.

Aquaball is a favorite at my house and my kids get excited by the fruity flavors and fun packaging. It's water, but the flavor is so fruity that they will surely feel like they are drinking a special fruit drink instead of water. Aquaball is naturally flavored and has zero sugar! This is a win win for me and I hope you will check it out at your local grocery store, as a drink alternative during holiday break. Your kiddos will thank you! Check out Aquaball on Facebook!

If you have a young one, you have a favorite fruit snack brand. It's almost as much of a given as breathing. Kids are just drawn to fruit snacks like a moth to light. Is it one of the food groups? Just checking. We try to keep our kiddos as "organic" in their cuisine as possible which is why we love Go Organically fruit snacks as a snack option. The ingredients are real and healthful and you do not need to question how that red fruit snack became red. Go Organically is the last fruit snack brand you will ever need to find and I think your kids will love it as much as mine do. Check out their Facebook page too!

Brooklyn Crafted ginger beer is a new product for me and I was pretty excited to try it because I love all kinds of ginger ale. If you like ginger beer, the slight burn of the ginger with the fizzy foam of the carbonation may be just up your alley! Brooklyn Crafted uses 100% real ginger and real ingredients in their drinks. There are a variety of flavors such as mango, earl gray, lemon lime and traditional.

I'm a HUGE lover of coconut oil and using it for my health and wellness as well as my family, but I had not heard of a coconut protein powder before and this excited me. Being a bariatric gal, I am always on the lookout for ways to up my protein. I can't eat as much food as a typical person so I have to be sure that what I'm eating has the nutrients I need to stay healthy. I can add this coconut powder to smoothies for an extra boost and I love that! Carrington Farms is an organic, non-gmo company that cares about the quality of the product it is sending out. Check out this protein powder in Walmart and other major food retailers! Also be sure to check out their Facebook page too!

Gluten free, dairy free, vegan and soy free? NO PROBLEM! Munk Pack has you covered with their protein cookies! This cookie might seriously be a game changer for me. The rich chocolate flavor came through and filled every chocolate craving I was having. When I bit into this cookie, I actually said the word, "wow" out loud and then proceeded to finish off the rest of the cookie before any of my children knew what hit them. This is a great option for those who live a vegan lifestyle and an amazingly tasty way to pack 18 grams of protein into a delicious snack! Check out their Facebook page too!

Hurom Juice company is the top of the line juicers and juice glasses. I like to occasionally provide some fresh juice to my family by using a juicer and I can tell you the quality of the juicer does matter. If you are interested in purchasing a juicer, check out the Hurom Juicer for flawless juice every single time. You are just minutes away from the freshest fruit and vegetable juice full of vitamins and antioxidants for your family! The Hurom Juice jar is the perfect glass for sipping your freshly made juice. There is a 25% off code right now on the website so be sure to check it out! Also, be sure to visit their Facebook page too!

The final item on this journey through these awesome snack and beverage options are the Welch's fruit rolls! My kiddos love this delicious, snack alternative to the fruit by the foot from my childhood! These are made with real fruit as the number one ingredient and you can see it in the roll. It's a fun option for kids that love fruit snacks because they can get involved in their snack as they unroll the fun! Check out their Facebook too!

I hope you have discovered some new snack options for your family today! What are some "go to" snacks that you will provide for your family during Christmas break? Do you tend to stay on course with your health and wellness during the holidays or do you throw caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may health-wise? I'm somewhere in the middle as I long to ensure my kids are filling their tummies with fruits and vegetables each day, but there are sure to be moments they grab a bag of something crunchy and head out the door to their hearts content!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful, healthy Christmas and the happiest New Year!
