You guys, I woke up feeling some kind of way this morning. I've had a rough week, well past couple of weeks to be honest, and I am having a hard time just letting things roll off my back. Part of me knows it's probably better to just let go, but the other part of me is winning out today and I'm going to go ahead and post about it.
Ever catch up with someone from high school? I know with sites like Facebook, it seems we are all caught up, but do you ever take the time to really talk to someone you knew back in the day that you don't get to see regularly? I love talking with people, but sometimes it's hard when they seem to only want to bring up the mistakes you made in your younger days.
Look, I'm aware I've done hurtful and stupid things and I am so glad that they happened before social media became so prevalent in our lives. However, in the last 20 years, I've grown and changed quite a bit. I've also made my apologies so now I'm SORRY, NOT SORRY!
I don't really like to pigeon hole people based on their actions when they were young and still becoming who they are. To me, it's similar to constantly reminding an adult child that they used to wear diapers and sometimes spit up when they were a baby. People grow. They *usually* change a bit too. Maybe, if you are going to stay connected to someone you knew from school, you can try getting to know who they are now.
I hope you have a great day. If you're feeling particularly SORRY, NOT SORRY about something, be sure to leave it in the comments. We all have these days, right?
