Happy Saturday and first weekend of August. It's hard to believe, but in just a few short weeks we'll be heading back to school. I feel like I blinked and now summer is almost over. To be fair, I always feel that it goes by too quickly, but this summer has been pretty blah as far as summers go.

Don't get me wrong, we've had a lot of fun this summer, like when we went to Medieval Times.  The show was great and the company (Grandpa E and Grandma J) was nice. I just wish we've been farther than New Jersey this summer. You know, like  Florida (I miss it so much).

Since we decided earlier that we need to stick closer to home, I've had a few ideas  for places to visit. So far, we've not been to one. Between family emergencies, new jobs, too many hours at existing jobs, and sick kiddos; this summer has not been kind for travel.

 The girls are still sleeping, since we had a late night sick kid issue, so I'm not sure what kind of fun adventure we may or may not be able to have today. I know for sure, we are not heading to the Port Jefferson Ferry or anywhere that requires a long car ride, since last night I dealt with the fallout of a nauseated stomach.  Whatever we do today, I just hope there's no more of that!
