Happy Saturday! While many of you may have already started back to school, we are on our second to last weekend of summer. We don't start back until the 28th, but I cannot get over how close it is. 

This summer went by entirely too fast. Our summer bucket list, which had quite a few awesome adventures on it, barely got touched. I hate to admit it, but I have this nagging feeling that our summer vacation was kind of a flop. It really upsets me, but deep down I know that we had some really great times too, and I need to try to focus on them.

This weekend, I am hoping to bring the girls to TerrifiCon.  Mostly I really just want to see my most favorite Batman, Will Friedle, who just happens to also be from CONNECTICUT! It looks like we might have some scheduling conflicts today, but I am holding out hope because I'm pretty sure D would love to meet "Uncle Eric" from Girl Meets World.  

We also have to make up a new meal plan for the upcoming week. Last weekend, we started a new routine where both girls have to pick something for dinner that they will be in charge of cooking, with help. This past week went pretty well. D opted to make her favorite; hotdogs, beans, and mac. R asked to do leftovers, but since she chose to make dinner on Monday night and we would have no leftovers, we suggested breakfast for dinner, and she loved that idea. I told her she could make eggs, pancakes, waffles, or whatever she wanted....we ate CEREAL!
