Today, my little dude started back to school for the 2017-2018 school year. I officially have a first grader in my house. How did this happen so quickly? It seems like only yesterday that we were prepping him for his first day of preschool, and now he's in a whole new school with new teachers and friends! I am so grateful that he's in such a safe, loving, Christian environment and loves his school.

Today was the first of our '1st days of school' in the past 3 years that there were no tears, no upset tummies, and no clutching onto mom or dad. B walked into school (in a new building), and bravely entered his classroom, and had a huge smile on his face at pick up at the end of the school day.

I'll be watching social media to see 1st day of school photos from friends and family who have kids heading back to the classroom this year. If you are a parent, a teacher, administrator, or an older student, please know that I am praying over you- for your safety, for wisdom, for patience and understanding, to speak and act with love and compassion in your heart, and for a wonderful year filled with lots of laughs, hugs, and of course- plenty of learning!
