Brew the Perfect Cup of Tea with Adagio #Review

Thank you to Adagio Tea for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

Do you drink tea? I have many warm memories of my mom making me a cup of calming tea to get me ready to sleep, it always made me feel special and a little more grown-up. Over the last few years I've started to experiment more, trying different black teas and herbal blends; picking up a box or two of bags while at the grocery store. I would stare longingly at the fancy tea stores that have been popping up but always felt overwhelmed by all the variety and contraptions. I wanted to start brewing loose leaf teas but had no idea where to start.

Adagio Teas brings you farm fresh, artisan teas direct from their sources across the world. Since teas come from the growers, Adagio can offer fresher tea at lower prices then competitors.

When Adagio contacted us to do a review, I jumped on the opportunity! It was the push I needed to start experimenting with high-quality tea. I was drawn to their signature tea maker- the ingenuiTEA, that you have the option of getting as a starter set with a sample of four different teas. I also selected one of their signature teas that they are highlighting- Darjeeling Sungma Summer.

Iced tea and chai to sample

I was given a gift card to make my purchase, so I got the full Adagio customer experience. I loved that they gave shipping updates, sent an email to let me know my order had been delivered and included two free samples. There was also a "Guide to Tea" booklet that was incredibly helpful and fun to read.

ingenuiTEA Tea Starter Set

Orchard Herbals sample includes: Berry Blast, Wild Strawberry, Blood Orange, and Raspberry Patch

I chose this sampler of berry flavored herbal teas to share with my daughters; they are caffeine-free, making them perfect for tea parties.

Each tea has individual brewing instructions

Leaves stay in the brewer- perfect tea in your favorite cup

The ingenuiTEA makes brewing loose tea at home effortless. I chose the smaller size (16 oz), to make a cup or 2 at a time, this works great for my small family. There's also a 28 oz version. To use; scoop in your favorite tea, add boiling water and let steep. The fun part is when it's time to drink- you place the brewer right on top of your cup and the tea leaves/ flowers stay inside the ingenuiTEA, and perfectly brewed tea goes in your cup!

After brewing

I couldn't believe how much the tea grew after the brewing process, that's something I had never experienced with bagged tea. Also notable was the amazing fragrance, we are addicted smelling the herbal teas and it really adds to the experience.

Rich color and flavor

My girls and I loved this raspberry tea, it was delicious with just a little bit of sugar added. I could taste a huge difference compared to raspberry teas I've had from the grocer. Since Adagio only uses natural flavors, you can feel confident in what you're serving your family and guests.

Time to wake up!

Ray prefers to drink black tea and this darjeeling was fabulous! It has a complex flavor and a hearty dose of caffeine. It brewed quickly, which made it perfect for us to drink before heading to church. It gave us some much needed energy without any jitters.

Our most popular gift item is a starter set that combines an easy-to-use teapot and four samples of our best-selling loose teas. Want to see what makes our teapot unique? Read the reviews below to see what our customers have to say. All agree, this ingenious teapot makes loose tea easy to prepare and our best-selling teas are a great introduction to a delectable world of gourmet tea. Dishwasher safe. Made in Taiwan with Tritan, a plastic specially-formulated to be safe in hot-temperature applications and is 100% BPA-free

Darjeeling Sungma Summer is a second flush black tea from the famous Darjeeling region of India. Darjeeling tea is treasured for its rich golden liquor and distinctive muscatel (a type of grape) flavor. This tea scores high on both counts. Bright and aromatic, floral muscat grape aroma with notes of warm spice and sugary squash. Plush, tangy mouthfeel with a sweet finish and balanced astringency. This excellent summer harvest (second flush) of Darjeeling black tea comes from the highly regarded Sungma Estate.
