Happy Saturday! I am so glad the weekend is here, mostly because that means Matt will be (or at least he should be) home from work and will be around to help with the girls. I love them and they genuinely are great kids, but between work schedules and common kid craziness, I really could use a break.

I started a new job a few weeks ago. It's a relatively easy job and I get to work from home, which is just plain awesome. The girls have been (mostly) great about staying quiet while I'm on the phone, but this past week it seems like the only time they were hungry or loudly excited about something was when I was working.
After I finish working, I usually start dinner prep. This week was not a good week for dinner at Wigglesworth Manor. I made some delicious meals, but Matt came home late almost every night and the girls went to bed without dinner a few times because instead of trying something different, they decided they were "full". One of the things I dislike more than anything is thinking that my kids are going to bed hungry.

Anyway, this weekend, having an extra pair of hands around will be like a breath of fresh air. Today, the girls and I are heading to a birthday party for my nephew (their cousin T) who is celebrating the big 3! The girls were supposed to spend the night with Aunt J and Uncle C, but because of the trouble with dinner last night, we are still deciding whether or not to let both girls go, or to stick to our guns and let only 1 go. I know consequences are important, but it hurts my heart to see disappointment on either of their faces. I guess we'll just see how the day goes....
