Another year, another 4th of July. I happen to love the 4th of July, and love being able to celebrate our freedom with my extended family. Each year, we all come together and enjoy good food, fun, and lots of laughter. We celebrate the fact that we are free. We give thanks for the wisdom of our forefathers, and for the daily sacrices of those who serve to protect us. We all know that freedom isn't free, and I do my very best to help my children understand that their ancestors (my great grandparents) risked so much to come over to the United States so that they could give their families a better life.

This is still the land of opportunity. This is still the land of the free and the home of the brave. This is the land I love. Today, I give God thanks for our beautiful country- and yes, even for those who run it... because that's got to be one heck of a scary job. So get out there and enjoy this day, friends. Celebrate life, love, and happiness, and all that makes us (the good and the bad) Americans. Stand tall, be proud, and never cease in praying for our country. Be safe out there and have a happy 4th!
