Thank you to LEGO for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.
We just returned home from our last big trip for the summer. We have one more small trip to the mountains coming up, and then that'll be it until school starts. B goes back to school on August 15th, so we still have a few weeks to fill before he's back in the classroom. I have loved having my babies home with me this summer, but it has been a challenge to keep them both entertained while keeping my sanity. I have found that having planned activities for my son B (6) to enjoy through out the day has really helped curb his attitude and need for screens.
We've been on a LEGO and Disney kick since we returned home from our Florida vacation. We've watched countless Disney movies, and have built a lot of fun LEGO creations. In our excitement this summer, we got to see CARS 3, and loved it! B has been scoping out all of the cool CARS 3 LEGO sets at the stores every time we make a stop. He's into all things LEGO, and has quite the extensive birthday and Christmas list- filled with cool LEGO sets.
After B graduated from DUPLO sets, we moved right along to LEGO Junior sets. LEGO Junior sets are fantastic- they give kids the chance to build fun LEGO sets without the frustration on intricate pieces to place. The instructions are easy to follow, and most kids can achieve their builds with little to no help from a grown up.
B couldn't wait to check out these cool LEGO Junior Sets: Anna & Elsa's Frozen Playground, and Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher.
The Disney themed LEGO sets are among B's favorites. He really got into CARS when he was younger, and has several CARS DUPLO sets that his sister is now discovering and enjoying. It was no surprise to me that B wanted to build the Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher Set from CARS 3 first!

All of the pieces are out, and we're ready to build!
B, following the simple step by step instructions to build Lightning McQueen, and his launch set.
It took B less than 10 minutes to put this little set together.
B had a blast putting the Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher together. The best part about putting together a LEGO set like this, is playing with it after it's built, of course! Lightning McQueen sits on the little speed ramp, and then you use your finger to turn the launch bar, and watch Lightning McQueen zoom into action!

Moving on to a larger and more challenging set, Anna & Elsa's Frozen Playground
We were all pretty obsessed with Disney's FROZEN a couple of years ago. We still find ourselves singing all of those catchy songs. B thought that the Frozen Playground LEGO Juniors set looked like a lot of fun (I won't be surprised if it's taken over for ninja training by the LEGO Ninjago Ninja team).
Anna & Elsa's Frozen Playground comes with 94 pieces, two bags of pieces, a board, and LEGO slide, plus two LEGO Junior Minifigures.
B really didn't need my help at all to build this set. I did help him to open and empty the bags onto the table, though. He sometimes empties the bags so excitedly, that the pieces fly everywhere, and we then experience 'lost pieces' meltdowns. After all of the pieces were safely on the table, I left B to the building of this cool set!
B, taking care to follow the directions step by step.
The instructions are in color, and feature step by step photos- showing which pieces to use, and where to place them. So easy, even mommy can do it! B worked at building this set for about half an hour- maybe even less time than that. He had a lot of fun watching the Frozen Playground take shape, and really wanted to get it built so he could play with it.
Getting there- the FROZEN Playground is taking shape & I spot LEGO Elsa!
The finished set- LEGO Junior Anna & Elsa's Frozen Playground is so fun!
I never mind playing LEGOs with B. I actually really like to build with LEGOs, and think the sets are so cool. We sure didn't have LEGOs like these when I was a little girl. I would have loves this FROZEN themed set. The set features a fun slide, a chest to keep treasures in, twirling ice sculptures, a snowball launcher, a bench, Anna and Elsa Minifigures, and a sweet little polar bear! We only wish that this set included Olaff.
This is such a fun set and would be a sweet gift for any Disney FROZEN fan!

Want them? Get them!
These LEGO Juniors sets are so much fun! We're going to enjoy playing with these, and building them again and again for a long time! One of the best things that LEGO offers on their website are the building instructions for all of their sets. We have misplaced and torn up many of our building instruction booklets, and as a mom, I love knowing that I can jump online and find the building instructions at LEGO.com.
LEGOs are helping us to keep our hands and minds busy this summer! They're educational toys that allow kids to be as creative as they want to be- and what's not to love about that? We can't wait to see what LEGO rolls out with next!

Special thanks to LEGO for allowing me to share about their fun LEGO JUNIOR sets from CARS 3 and FROZEN. Looks for them in our 2017 Summer Fun Guide!
