How do you choose the perfect gift for that special dad in your life? My own dad and my husband can be hard to shop for. They're both musicians, and neither one of them are really into sports of any kind. This leaves me having to rely on their hobbies when it comes to gift ideas for holidays or birthdays. I almost always come up empty when I am seeking out unique gifts that would actually be useful to my guys. More often than not, my dad is losing his keys. He leaves them everywhere, and one of these days, I am afraid he's going to lock his keys in the car when no one else is with him.
One of my worst fears is accidentally locking my keys in the car when my kids are still in the car on a hot summer day. My kids are six, and 14 months. Now, if my six-year-old was locked in the car, I would probably be able to talk him through unlocking the car from the inside. If my son wasn't with me, however, and it was just my baby, alone in the car, I would panic. I never want to be in a situation like that, and it could easily happen to anyone- including my husband when he's out running errands with the kids.
Lock Pick World provides a variety of lock picking tools and sets, and can also provide peace of mind for parents. I wouldn't have thought much about the need for lock picking tools until I was reminded of a scary experience that I had when I was babysitting over fifteen years ago. I was watching a three-year-old, and she locked herself in the bathroom. This was in an old house, and the doorknobs didn't have those little holes that you could unlock from the other side of the door. She was screaming, and I tried my best to calm her down and tell her how to unlock the door, but she was hysterical. I couldn't reach her parents and wound up having to call the fire department to come and get her out.
I never want to be in that type of situation again, and wouldn't want that to happen to my husband or my parents when they're watching my kids. That's why I am excited about all of the lock picking sets and tools available from Lock Pick World. Lock picking is actually a pretty interesting and useful hobby/skill to have. It gives you the ability to get yourself out of a potentially dangerous situation.
If you've never given thought to lock picking tools or sets as a gift, you're not alone. Think of the peace of mind you'll have, however, if you have someone you can call on if you're ever in a jam or in trouble. Better yet, if you can pick a lock yourself, you'll be in even better shape.
For beginners, a practice lock is a great idea! Not all locks are the same, and many contain spool pins, which can be hard to detect. Knowing how to detect them, and how to properly pick them will help you with your lock picking development. There are many different practice locks available to choose from to help get you started.
A beginner lock picking set is a great gift idea for the special dad in your life. A set like this one will give dad all of the needed tools to learn about lock picking and will give him lots of tools to practice with. This set is absolutely suitable for learners of all levels, and comes complete with:
A full 15 piece lock pick set with lock picks, tension tools, and extractor
A Secret Agent / Spy Concealed Credit Card Pick Set
A fully-working, easy practice padlock with a see-through mechanism with keys
A double-sided, see-through practice training lock with keys
43-page eBook with color photos for Single Pin Picking
There are also many tools available for more experienced lock pickers or locksmiths.
Who would enjoy lock picking tools?
Anyone who enjoys DIY, puzzles, practical problems, mechanics or want to improve hand-eye-coordination or mobility, or just want to see what lock picking or locksmithing is like!
I think a beginner set would be great for both my dad and my husband. I'll feel better knowing that they have essential tools to help them if they're ever in a less than desirable situation and find themselves needing to pick a lock.
