What do you do when your kid is starving and begging for pizza, but you have no frozen pizzas, and you don't want to order one? You make Pizza Roll-ups, of course! All you need are three ingredients, and I would venture to guess that you probably keep all three of them in stock at all times... I know I do. If you have a can of refrigerated crescent rolls, tomato sauce, and Mozzarella cheese, you can have a yummy pizza lunch or dinner ready in about 15 minutes. Now that's what I call easy, and delicious! Continue reading for the recipe and directions.
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 jar of pizza sauce or tomato sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Start by pre-heating the oven to 375.
While the oven warms up, prep the pizza roll-ups.
Section the crescent roll dough into four rectangles. Roll out on a pizza pan, and spread sauce over the top of the dough.
Add shredded Mozzarella cheese (add optional additional toppings/fillings).
Roll up the pizza, like you're making a pinwheel.
Bake at 375 degrees for 13-16 minutes.
Serve it up however you like! B requested Goldfish crackers and cucumber slices with his sliced Pizza Roll-ups.
These are so yummy! You could easily double or triple the recipe to make more for a larger family, for a party, etc. Serve with extra sauce for dipping if you have dippers and sauce lovers in your family. This is so easy and delicious, your kids are sure to love these, and you might find yourself adding these to your weekly menu. They're so tasty served alongside a salad and some fresh fruit!
