It's a new year, and with the new year comes new goals. I have a lot of personal goals that I set for this year. Getting back on track when it comes to healthy eating and a regular personal fitness routine is one of those top goals. My goal isn't just for myself, but it's for my entire family. I want for us to be a healthy family, and one of the ways that we can get a jump start on a healthier, more active lifestyle, is to suit up and get outside on a daily basis.

One of the challenges that comes along with this type of resolution, is sticking with it! My family travels a lot for vacations, and work related trips, and it's so easy to fall into the trap of skipping workouts, or eating less than nutritious meals. We have some trips planned for 2017, and one of the ways that I can make sure my family is able to exercise, is to choose accommodations that offer a pool, a fitness center, or that there is a park or safe area to walk nearby wherever we stay.



Another way to make sure my family stays on track when it comes to exercising while we're away from home, is to bring along performance fitness apparel. I never pack for a trip without packing fitness apparel for myself, my husband, my son, and I always include recreational swimwear, as well.
I don't want to have to play guessing games with my fitness apparel or swimwear, which is why I choose to wear Speedo athletic wear when I exercise.

I have owned a few pieces of Speedo fitness swimwear in my life, and have always loved how they have felt, fit, and worked for me. As much as I love Speedo swimwear, I have been pleased to have the opportunity to try out a few non-swimwear pieces that have been awesome for exercising in, wearing to the pool, etc.

When the weather is nice enough, we do a lot of walking. We take walks as a family, and when we walk, we walk to tone up, get our heart rates up, burn calories and such. I don't like to wear clothing that hinders my ability to move... that means nor wearing pants that I could potentially step on and trip over! Having leggings is a big help, but most leggings are really thin. This time of year, I'm looking for performance leggings that will also keep me warm.

Speedo's female leggings are amazing. I love the way they fit and feel. For someone who is still trying to slim down after having a baby, these leggings are very flattering. I love the way the give the appearance of long, lean legs. They offer full coverage, and have a higher waist, which I really like about these. They hold everything in, and make me feel confident. I love wearing these leggings for walking and jogging in our neighborhood, and love to wear them for yoga and pilates, as well. They are incredibly versatile. They're also perfect to wear over a swimsuit. They keep me warm from my trip from our beach cottage to the resort pool... and they're great to pull on again after I have gone for a swim with the family, and dried off again.

Having a lightweight jacket on hand is a must for any mom on the go. The Speedo Women's Streamline Jacket is lightweight, and comfortable. I love wearing it because it goes with everything! I wear it when I exercise, when I am running errands, or just wear it around the house. I love having this to throw on over my swimsuit when we hit the pools on vacation. We have to walk outside to get to all of the many pools on the property at our timeshare, and since it's right on the beach, it's usually windy. The jacket keep me warm, and hold up against the wind. It has a zip front, and pockets on the inside and outside. The inner pockets are the perfect place to stash my phone when we're on the go!


A girl's gotta have tanks, and Speedo's got 'em!

Another must-have for me in the fitness apparel department would be tanks! I practically live in tanks from 5 pm on. At the end of a long day, it's off with the uncomfortable clothes, and on with the comfy stuff. Speedo's women's tanks are awesome! I have the Effort Tank, and the Here to Be Awesome Tank. I love them both. They're thin, stretchy, and perfect for working out in, wearing to the pool or beach, or just hanging out in. I actually like pairing the tanks with the leggings and the jacket for a complete look. Both tanks are a racerback style, and oh, so comfy. The wording on the tanks serve as reminders that I can reach my goals!
