My life has been one giant ball of stress lately. I am almost happy to see 2016 come to an end, and hope for a much happier year in 2017. 2016 has brought about a lot of changed for my family- some good, and some not so good. I lost my volunteer position leading worship at my church in the late summer of 2015, and have still not fully recovered from this constant feeling of having part of my identity taken away from me. Our baby girl was born in April of 2016, which was such a blessing and joy- she truly lights up our lives, and makes our family complete. A month later, our best friends moved out of state, and we've really been missing them. My hubby has had some amazing new teaching job opportunities come his way, which have been wonderful. Just a couple of weeks ago, we lost my grandmother, sort of unexpectedly... it's been a really tough roller coaster of emotions ever since.

Some days, the weight of it all feels like more than I can bear, but I am still a wife, and a mom, and need to be strong for the people I love. Being able to de-stress without having to put too much thought into it really helps me stay focused, and keeps me at my best for my family.
