Spend a Little, Save a Lot at Swap.com

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Swap.com. I received compensation, as well as product to facilitate my post. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

With two kids in my life, I am simply amaze by how quickly they outgrow everything. My son is six years old, and it seems like we're buying him new clothes every few weeks, because he's always going through crazy growth spurts, or winds up with holes in his pants or shirts. B goes to private school, and like the public schools in our area, the private school has a uniform dress code. We have clothes for school, clothes for after school and weekends, and clothes for church. Baby S is fun to dress up. She's almost 7 months, and is growing like a weed. Sometimes she barely wears clothing once or twice before she needs the next size up.

Swap.com - Women's, men's and kids' consigment store online

No one wants to spend an arm and a leg on kids clothes that will soon be outgrown. I learned early on with B that consignment shopping was the way to go! There are several consignment shops near me, but physically going to those stores with kids in tow is exhausting. When I heard about Swap.com, an online consignment store offering clothing for men, women, and children, I just about fell in love!

SWAP.COM - THE LARGEST ONLINE CONSIGNMENT AND THRIFT STORE

I had a great time just browsing items on Swap.com. I knew that I wanted to look for items for the kids. B actually really needed some long sleeved polo shirts for church, and S could always use more outfits, etc. I started out looking for clothes for B. Swap.com is so user friendly. I selected the kids category, and then added filters to narrow down my choices. I was able to shop by gender, size, season, price, and even clothing brand. I was also able to shop new with tags or like new condition. I was impressed by how many brand new items were available!

My budget to shop with was $50.00. I normally spend $50.00 on two pairs of pants and a shirt for B at any of the kids clothing stores we frequent. I was able to find three new shirts, and a brand new outerwear vest for B. I also found some cute things for Baby S, and had a few dollars left, so I picked out something for myself.

Shopping was easy! I added the items I wanted to my cart, and then made my payment with the credit I had to shop with. Once my order was paid for, I was sent a notification via e-mail, and was free to go back to the website to check my account, anytime. The account section offers updated shipping and tracking information for customers.

A few days later, I came home to my Swap.com order!

I couldn't wait to open up my box from Swap.com. I was sort of nervous, because although the site said that the items I ordered were new or like new, I didn't know whether or not I could trust that. I was eager to see what kind of condition the clothes were actually in.

I love the packaging- so cheery!

All of the items I ordered were individually labeled and packaged.

I was so impressed by the way the clothing was packaged. Everything has its own bag and label, which meant that if I had to return anything, it wouldn't be a huge hassle, Gotta love anything that makes a busy mom's life a little easier. I opened up each package and inspected the clothing carefully. The clothes were clean, smelled fresh, and looked new, just like the site promised.

I was able to purchase these cute pieces for Baby S!

I spent about $17.00 on items for Baby S, and received an adorable Carter's sweatshirt (perfect for fall and winter). I also received a super cute tunic, which I will pair with leggings that we already have. The Little Sister Bodysuit and Leggings Set (by Jumping Beans) was just $5.00 for the set- that's a price that can't be beat! I can't wait for S to grow into these pieces this winter!

These are the three brand new long sleeved polo shirts that I picked out for B.

B wears polo shirts to church. We go to a contemporary service, so we dress pretty casually. The polos are staples for B's church wardrobe, and he badly needed new ones for the fall season. I ordered size 8's for him, and they fit perfectly. I am always afraid to order clothing for him, because I never know how something will fit him. This was the right choice for these shirts. They look great, and they are in colors that B loves. I won't have to fight to get him to put these on. I spent $16.00 on these three shirts for B! That's an incredible deal!

Here's the best snag of them all, in my opinion- a brand new OshKosh Fleece Vest!

B loves having vests to wear with his long sleeved shirts. He can wear them to church, school, or on the weekends. This particular vest was a great find, because it matches B's school colors exactly! This vest is also a size 8, and it's brand new with tags still on it. This is going to be a wonderful piece of outwear for us here in the Carolinas, where fall and winter can be pretty mild. This vest was just $10.00! Can you believe it!?

Last, but not least, a little something for myself!

Hey, moms deserve a treat every now and then, right? My hubby and I often go without when it comes to clothes, so the kids can have what they need. How awesome is it that I can shop new or like new boutique style clothing on Swap.com? I love boutiques, but I do not love their prices. My mom style is pretty simple, and it has to be comfortable, so this tissue tee was a great find for me. It's perfect for fall! Best of all, the tee was only $5.00!

I cannot believe that I scored 8 new or like new articles of clothing for my family, for just $48.00! I could spend that on one dress for myself in a boutique! Now that I know how fabulous Swap.com is, I am shouting it from the rooftops! I even plan to do some of my Christmas shopping on Swap.com. We have young adults to buy for, and I'd much rather save money and get everyone on our list pieces they'll love!

Swap.com Toys and Games

Swap/com offers clothing for women, men, kids/baby, maternity, toys & games, baby gear, movie & books, and even has a clearance section! I wish that I had known about Swap.com when I was pregnant with Baby S. It would have been awesome to spend a little money on used maternity clothing, rather than buying all new stuff like I did.

Don't just buy on Swap.com... sell, too!
