Hi and happy Friday! My family and I are just back from a week-long trip to NJ. We were visiting my grandmother, and uncles. Did you know that my sis and I were born in NJ? We lived there until I was about 10 years old. Sometimes I wonder what I would be like if we ha stayed there, and I had fully grown up there- I know I would be different. However, I love my life, and am happy that I am able to visit  NJ every year. As much as I love NC, I love NJ, and will always be a Jersey Girl at heart.

NJ has so man fun and beautiful places to visit from restaurants and attractions to shopping and more! Here are some of my favorite places to go in NJ...

Okay, so this bakery is Carlo's second bakeshop, located in Ridgewood, NJ. It's not the original bakery, which is located in Hoboken, but it's just as good! We've been here 4-5 times, and each time we go, it's so exciting! We've never seen Buddy (the Cake Boss) here, but Marissa (winner of the Next Great Baker) manages this bakery, and we've seen her there twice. Their cannolis are my favorite, and hubby loves their lobster tails. B is a fan of their cupcakes.

This ice cream joint is a must-visit when we head to NJ. They have so many delicious flavors, and they're all homemade! If you love monstrous scoops of ice cream atop a yummy cone, this is the place for you! Note- there is no seating available. The norm is to stand around in the parking lot while enjoying the ice cream.

Having brunch at a diner in NJ is just part of the experience. Diner food is always yummy. My bro-in-law experienced his very first trip to the diner, and we just had to order some disco fries for him to try!

Van Saun is a great park to visit with the kids! I used to love going there when I was a little girl. They have a zoo, a train, carousel, and pony rides! Take a picnic and spend the day there with the family for a fun time!

Okay, so BBP isn't exclusive to NJ, but Bobby is from NJ, and his burgers are among the best I have ever had! The price point is pretty low, and the burgers are amazing! I recommend the Blue Burger, and hubby loves the Crunchburger! If you love burgers, you have got to try these!

Seaside Heights is a NJ beach community down the shore. I loved visiting when I was a kid. The boardwalk has changed a lot, since most of it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, and then again after a terrible fire a few years later. After some rebuilding, there are still some old favorites and new attractions. The piers have carnival rides for kids of all ages. There is 'fair food,' huge slices of pizza, frozen custard, and more! I loved taking my hubby down the shore- we spent all day eating, walking on the beach, riding rides, and playing arcade games. It's a great place to visit with the family!

Of course, there are so many other wonderful spots to visit in NJ- these are just some favorites of mine! If you ever head to NJ, be sure to check out some of these spots!
