Lower risk of diabetes
Studies show that if coffee drinkers have a lower risk of type 2 diabetes than those who don’t drink coffee at all. Type 2 diabetes is one of the world’s most prevalent preventable illnesses. It occurs when your body is unable to control the level of glucose in your blood. Many people have diabetes without even knowing it because the symptoms can be difficult to spot. Numerous studies have linked coffee consumption to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes. A review involving nine studies and more than 960,000 individuals suggested that coffee drinkers had a lower risk of diabetes. Participants who drank more than six cups per day had a 35% lower risk of diabetes than those who had fewer than two cups.

One reason is a reduced risk of diabetes, which is a risk factor for heart disease. A study involving almost 84,000 nurses showed that those who drank coffee had a 20% lower risk of having a stroke than non-drinkers.

Korean researchers discovered reduced stress levels in rats following exposure to coffee scents. This study involved sleep-deprived rats. It’s thought that the same response can be seen in humans.

You may immediately think of berries and green tea when the work antioxidant pops up. But coffee is also an excellent source of these natural gems. 

6. Increased happiness
Studies by the National Institute of Health found that people who drink coffee regularly have a lower risk of depression. 

7. Increased sharpness and intelligence
If you can’t function without a mug of strong coffee in the morning, there may be a scientific explanation. Reports from CNN suggest that drinking coffee makes your brain sharper and more alert. This enables you to tackle tasks more effectively.
