During Spring Break last week, I had every intention of cleaning and organizing a few rooms. Namely, the kitchen, dining room, bedrooms, and living room. The playroom was the only one to get both started and finished, but we did make some good progress in the living room (a lot of toys made their way back to the playroom), so this weekend I'd like to get that settled.

Our living room is tied with our dining room for being the area that collects the most "stuff", but because it's the room everyone sees first (our front door leads into the living room) and we spend a bit of our time in it, I really want it to be less cluttered and more comforting. 

I'm going to start with the living room closet because so much is "hiding" in there and I will feel better knowing that we are only keeping the things we will actually use or need. There's something so soothing about getting rid of things that just take up space and lightening our load. It'll also be nice to open it up once in a while and actually find whatever I am looking for without having to dig for it. 

I'm a little thankful that rain is in the forecast for today, it makes it easier to commit to doing these kinds of boring projects. I hope your plans are more exciting than ours! If you are also cleaning today, make it exciting by cranking up the tunes and.....well, I think that's about all you can do to make cleaning exciting!
