Christ is risen! Alleluia! 

Oh, what a glorious day! It's Easter Sunday, and I am at church with my family this morning, leading worship and celebrating our risen Savior and Lord! This is probably the most meaningful, moving, and emotional day of the year for me (following Good Friday). I cannot describe the overwhelming sense of joy, wonder, and thankfulness I feel this day. Christ died for you and me- He carried the cross, and hung upon it, breathing His last breath, taking away the sin of the world. When the veil of the temple was torn in two, He established a direct connection between us and God, through himself, giving us access to the Almighty. 

Though Jesus died and was laid in the tomb, the grave could not contain Him. On the third day, He rose again, victorious! There is no greater love- 

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. -John 15:13 (NIV)

I leave you with the music video for Forever by Kari Jobe, which I have the privilege to lead my congregation in singing during Easter worship this morning. I can hardly listen to this song without being so overwhelmed by God's love. May you realize this love- as it belongs to you, and celebrate our Risen King this day!
