Get Your Rest: Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner #Review

Thank you to Rest-Rite for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

When you're pregnant, there are a lot of adjustments that your body has to make. I loved being pregnant with my son, over five years ago. Now that I am pregnant with my daughter (34 weeks), I am not loving it as much as I did the first time around. It's much more exhausting, and uncomfortable than it was for me the first time. No two pregnancies are alike- and I expect that my children will be very different from one another, as well.

One thing I remember from my first pregnancy, however, was wanting to sleep on my back so badly! I am not a back sleeper, but for some reason, as soon as I am told that I cannot sleep on my back, it's exactly what I want to do!

Recent studies indicate that back sleeping during pregnancy puts more pressure on major veins, which can cause an already vulnerable fetus a reduced flow of oxygen and proper nutrients. The best sleep position during pregnancy is sleeping on the side. Even better, according to medical experts, is to sleep on the left side because it improves circulation, giving nutrient-packed blood an easier route from a mother’s heart to the placenta to nourish the baby.

Now back-sleepers can adjust to side-sleeping, get extra nourishment to their unborn children, and get a better night’s sleep with the Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner.

The Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner comes in a box of 7 or 28.

I was easger to give this new sleep positioner a try, because I wind up on my back a lot during the night, no matter how hard I try to stay on my side. The positioner is a thin layer of plastic, with a thin adhesive ring. Simply stick it to the middle of the back, and sleep away! The positioners are one-time use, so you use a new one each night.

Here's the back of the sleep positioner- simply peel off the backing, and adhere to your skin.

I was impressed that the Rest-Rite Positioner actually stayed in place all night. It did take a while for me to get used to sleeping with it on my back, but it wasn't uncomfortable, and it did keep me from rolling over. Simply put- it gets the job done! I am sleeping better by using the Rest-Rite positioner. I am trying to get my husband to try these, as well. Sacha is a snorer, and keeps me awake most nights, because he winds up on his back. I'd love to see if this would improve his sleep and mine, by keeping him off of his back at night!

Features of the Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner:

Unlike pregnancy pillows, the Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner doesn’t shift during the night or work its way out from under the back as sleep pillows often do. Rest-Rite Sleep Positioner is a one-time use disposable product that unobtrusively prevents back-sleeping:

·         Stays in place with residue-free medical-grade adhesive

·         Lightweight and worn discreetly under normal pajamas

·         Get more normal sleeping style instead of cocooned in a pillow

·         Stacks right on nightstand or in bedside drawer for easy access

·         Easy to travel with

I would recommend this product to anyone who is currently expecting. It'll help you have a more comfortable, and restful night's sleep, as well as give you peace of mind that you are doing what's best for your baby.
