Brown Sugar Meatloaf #Recipe #TastyTuesdays

In the last few weeks of my prgnancy, I am feeling so exhausted. I have a lot of extra responsibilities on my plate, so I am trying my best to be well organized at home. Being organized at home means getting a weekly meal plan together, and planning simple meals that my family will enjoy. I have also been trying out some newer recipes that will be easy to make ahead of time when we have a new baby at home with us.

Meatloaf is a family favorite, and we wanted to try a sweet twist on a traditional recipe, so we went with a Brown Sugar Meatloaf, as opposed to a traditional meatloaf.

You will need:
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of ketchup
1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef
3/4 cup of milk
2 eggs
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 cup crushed crackers
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.

2. Press the brown sugar in the bottom of the prepared loaf pan and spread the ketchup over the sugar.

4. In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape into a loaf. Place on top of the ketchup.

Nice, big meatloaf to feed the whole family!

You'll be able to see the ketchup and brown sugar layered on the bottom of the loaf pan.

5. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.

Plate with sides, and serve! Mmm!

I made sure to add extra sauce from the pan to the top of the meatloaf. It's so sweet and delicious!

This recipe has quickly become a family favorite. If you find that it's too sweet, you can adjust the brown sugar to your liking. This recipe can be made ahead of time, and makes for great leftovers, too! You can't go wrong with this crowd-pleaser!

Hope you'll give it a try this week, and let us know what you think!
