Lucky me! I get to post about food on the best food week of the year! I LOVE Thanksgiving.
One of my favorite Thanksgiving table settings from our small family dinner (pre-Mr. G). And here's another that also features some of my favorite Thanksgiving food. As you can see we have a non-traditional meal.
On the menu:
Roasted Sweet Potato Hash (minus egg)
Lima Beans with Stewed Sweet Tomatoes*
*there is no recipe for this, as it has been handed down from my great-grandmother....prepare lima beans, separately, stew some, a lot, of tomatoes until they can be pureed, add some sugar and a bit of pepper, serve on top of beans. It's weird, I know, but my family loves it!
