At our house, we love to build... and take apart, and build again. B just turned five, and he's even more intrigued by what his daddy does for a living each and every day. Hubby works in home restoration (by day, musician by night), and it's his job to paint, fix, and build whatever folks in our community need him to tackle. B always wants to help his daddy, but we know that most of those jobs are far too dangerous for little dudes to help with. Instead, we try our best to encourage B to build at home, with safe and fun toys, which are age appropriate for him.

Not long ago, we received this awesome toy from LeapFrog: Scout's Build & Discover Tool Set!

This new toy from LeapFrog is an incredibly fun, interactive educational toy, featuring one of our favorite LeapFrog friends- Scout the puppy! B and Scout founded their friendship many years ago, and when B opened up his special LeapFrog package, he sure was glad to see him again! The Build and Discover set comes with some pretty neat stuff. Let's check it out!

Scout's fun house!

Scout's Build & Discover Tool Set comes with everything your little builders need for building exploration! Scout talks to the little builder and guides them through the process of building Scout's house. Don't worry mom, there's a volume control on the side of the toy. This interactive toy is so much fun! B had a blast counting along with Scout, as he asked B to count how many windows the house had, how many orange screws were on the house, etc.

Use the tools to twist and turn screws and bolts on Scout's house!

The tools fit the different screws and such on Scout's house. As they twist and turn, they click and make real sounds! B especially loves using the wrench and the screwdriver on Scout's house.

This toy is geared toward ages 2+, and since it's fitting for toddlers, I wondered if B would get much enjoyment out of it. I have been pleasantly surprised by how much he loves playing with this fun toy set! We have a 2-year-old friend who comes over to play a lot, and she loves this set, as well, I love seeing the two of them taking turns, and playing together with this set!
