Pregnancy Update: 13 Weeks

How I physically feel:
I am feeling much better. After having been sick for several weeks, I finally feel like myself again, with a bit more energy. I have found a few new exercise programs to follow, which I am pretty excited about. I am able to do some aerobic walking, and have found a modified Pilates program. I plan on adding in yoga, as well.

I haven't had any aversions, thankfully- with my first I couldn't stand garlic or coffee. I am craving fruit and yogurt, as well as carbs- mostly breads. Sweets of any kind are still a favorite, but I know I have to be careful.

We do have a girl's name picked out, we're just having trouble agreeing on a middle name. We also have a boy's name picked out, and one of the middle names that we'll use, if we have a boy- we need to agree on a second middle name for a boy, as well- because it's a family tradition for us to use two middle names for a boy. 

Weight gain:
I have gained 6 lbs so far... hopefully, I can stay on track and not over-gain with this baby, like I did with B.

Looking forward to:
Baby's arrival. Of course, we're not nearly ready, but my son is just so excited that he's going to be a big brother. He falls asleep at night, resting his hand on my tummy, hugging the new baby. So sweet! We have an OB appt. scheduled in three weeks, and then in five weeks, we'll have an ultrasound, and should be able to find out the sex of the baby. We can't wait! 

In the meantime, I am having fun thinking up ways to decorate the side of our room that will be the nursery. We have a large master bedroom, so the baby will be rooming with us for the first year or so. We've found some really cute decorations, and I'm looking forward to purchasing a new crib and glider. We'll need a few other things, and I am having a lot of fun looking at they different baby items that have come about in the past five years.
