Dr. Pepper Crock-Pot Chicken #tastytiptuesday

I know this sounds weird because when I first saw this on a friend's Facebook page that's what I thought!  But, Dr. Pepper is my drink of choice so I decided I'd give it a try!  Wow, wow, wow!!!  This was the best chicken I have ever made...ever!!  Aiden even loved it and sometimes he's picky.  I love crock pot meals and always do some freezer meals before school starts back so that I am stocked on those busy days.  I haven't done this one as a freezer meal yet, but am planning it on my next freezer day.  I'd love to know your favorite crock pot meals.  It's nice to get new recipes to try.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what's good:)

This is it mixed and already cooking.  I forgot to take pictures until now:)

Aiden wanted me to show you his dinner.

I served fresh potatoes baked with olive oil and fresh garlic.  I get purple potatoes at the Farmer's Market to throw in a little color.  They taste like regular potatoes.

Dr. Pepper Crock Pot Chicken

1 can Dr. Pepper
1 package Onion soup mix
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Mix together in bowl.  Lay frozen chicken in crock pot and pour mixture over the chicken.  Cook on low for 8 hours.

Just FYI....Mine was ready after 7 hours, so keep a check on it.  I only used 3 chicken breasts because that is what I had.  I think I could have put at least 2 more in there because there was plenty of mixture.  This was so tasty and so easy!  I didn't taste the Dr. Pepper at all on the finished chicken.  It was very moist.

I hope you will give it a try and let me know how you like it!!
Enjoy!
