You don't have to spend long around a toddler to see some lessons in motivation...sheer determination and resilience. How many times do they fall down when learning to crawl or walk?
Oops, that toy was a little out of reach.
How many times do their clumsy little bodies do unexpected things? How many times do they find themselves in awkward new situations?
Since I fell in, I might as well play a while!
And how many times do they get right back up? How many times do they roll with the punches and keep going?
Hey Mom, look at me! A pirate ship of toys!
At what age do we learn to quit trying when things are hard? My little guy's never ending quests for things that are new and difficult and scary motivate me to keep trying when I don't get it exactly right the first time. How do you dust yourself off and keep going?
