Freddy Fitness for Little Man's Feet - Mini Shoez #Review

Ok, who doesn't love baby toes and baby feet? I mean seriously. I want to just nibble them.

My little guy has a funny shaped foot, its pretty fat on top (ahem, just like mommy's) and he has long finger-like toes (just like daddy!). Now that he is on the go and walking, I want to protect those little feet as much as possible, but know that walking barefoot is the best way to develop the skills he needs to be an expert toddling toddler. Robeez has developed a wonderful product for just such an age that is even approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association

As you can see, I wasn't the only excited one to receive a pair of Freddy Fitness Mini Shoez from Robeez! (Also, look at those baby legs. It was 86 degrees here today, its April!) They arrived in a cute little shoe box so we could see what was in store.

Our Thoughts

This pair of little dude kicks is inspired by adult athletic shoes, so they feature a sporty design, faux laces, bold colors, breathable fabric/leather, and of course, a comfortable fit.

The first thing I noticed when I took them out of the box was how soft the nylon and leather is, both inside and outside the shoe. I love the flexibility and the hook and loop (velcro) band at the top makes it easy to open the shoe up and get little man's fat foot in there.

They are light weight and slip right on - we wasted no time trying them out! I actually used the little tabs on the heels to pull them up a bit and secure the fit. The elastic ankle means they adjust to chubby little legs, but also STAY ON! If you haven't tried to keep shoes on a toddler in a while, let me just remind you, its a struggle. I like how the shoe conforms to the child's foot rather than forcing little toes and arches and heels into a more formed shoe.

Mr. G tried these with no socks, but I think they could easily be worn with socks for cooler weather. When I finally took them off at nap time, his feet weren't even sweaty.

We received a size 4 (9-12 months), and they fit spot on, with just a tad of growing room. I'll admit I am always a little daunted by ordering shoes online, but Robeez provides a handy sizing chart to help you make the right selection.

And we're off! Mr. G was able to walk around and didn't even notice he was wearing the these Freddies (which is a good thing, otherwise he would be playing with them!). I sure noticed though because he wasn't slipping and sliding on our hardwood floors thanks to the non-skid rubber outsole.

These versatile shoes are definitely a hit - I love every thing about them from the detailed stitching and top quality materials to the flexible sole, elastic ankle, and adjustable band.
