As a mom I loved this book because it teaches a valuable lesson to kids. My kids are a couple of years apart and I know this happened in my house but my son wasn't as nice about it as Louise was to her younger brother. Getting along with siblings is hard and when one of the children uses or destroys something of the other it is pure meltdown in my house.

I would probably initially be very mad but hopefully would realize that the art could be replaced but my relationship couldn't!
